F-105F WW # 63-8273 is pictured at Nellis AFB, Nevada. On the tarmac early
1966 still in the factory paint, Black on Silver. I literally had to
search the world over for this picture! The US Air Force Historian could
not find any pictures of this plane, and he told me that since the Wild Weasel
Mission was so Top Secret at that time, the Air Force never took any pictures of
them.
So I put out a search on the Wild Weasel Net, and on the River Rats Net too, (Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association). A few months ago I got lucky & I found both pictures in the Netherlands. An Air Force Historian all the way over the "World" had it. It took me almost six years to find!
